Women’s Health and Urogynecology Assessment
Urogynecology deals with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, loss of pelvic floor support and related functional complaints in women. At ReSurgeClinic in Kyrenia / Cyprus, the same method is not applied to every patient; the type of leakage, degree of prolapse, examination findings, impact on quality of life and patient expectations are evaluated together to create an individualized roadmap.

During the first consultation
The main complaint, duration of symptoms, previous treatments, accompanying diseases, medications, expectations and relevant examination findings are evaluated together.
Clinical focus
The aim is not to apply the same treatment to every patient, but to understand the underlying mechanism and choose the safest suitable step.
Treatment logic
Follow-up, medical treatment, minimally invasive procedures or surgery are discussed step by step according to the patient’s condition.
Which problems do we evaluate?
Stress urinary incontinence, urge symptoms, mixed leakage, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor weakness and related functional complaints are evaluated.
Quality of life and patient expectations are central to the treatment decision.
How is evaluation performed?
History, examination, urine tests, residual urine, pelvic floor evaluation and when needed urodynamic assessment may be used.
The aim is to define the type of leakage and choose the correct treatment step.
How are treatment options discussed?
Lifestyle measures, pelvic floor therapy, medication, Bulkamid injection, TOT, sacrospinous fixation or sacrocolpopexy may be discussed according to findings.
No single method is suitable for every patient; the decision is individualized.

Transobturator tape (TOT)
A surgical support option in suitable stress incontinence cases.
Sacrospinous fixation
